I asked Jonah if he wanted to look like his daddy and have short hair and he said yes--several times--since I asked him about 20 times to make sure I was doing the right thing by cutting off his blond locks. So this morning, I broke out the scissors, put him in front of the TV and a half hour later, we had a new Jonah!
I can't believe how big he looks without his long hair. I love it. I think he's the most handsome little boy ever!! (with a perfectly shaped head, mind you.)
Before
Cutting the hair. Thank goodness for TV and snacks.
Jon's favorite part of the whole proceedings. The Mullet.
What a handsome thing!
On another note, we baked cookies (not an unusual thing in our house) for family night this week and had so much fun! Jonah has a love/hate relationship with the mixer--and ever other household appliance that makes loud noise. He says, "Mom, just do it softerly!" (my heart melts.)
We sang primary songs and then talked about the Sabbath and how we do things like going to church, reading the scriptures, and showing love for our family (all things he learned in Nursery on Sunday). I've found that it's much easier for him to get something out of family night when we use his handout from Nursery from the week before so its something that is already fresh on his mind. Plus he LOVES to show off his artwork on the handout.
Sorry for the blur.
Sophie has finally started walking and she just loves her independence. She still loves to eat everything in sight and even surprised me this week when she helped her self several times to my raw broccoli on my salad.
Fun in the laundry basket!
