On Friday, we went to Moab and hiked to Delicate Arch. Jon carried Jonah and I carried Sophie. It was beautiful scenery and a fun hike but I regretted this activity the second I started running the next day. It wore me out being exposed to the sun and hiking the day before the race. I couldn't be in Moab, though, and not see any of the famous scenery.
The race was tough. It didn't start until 10am, so it was already quite warm. I was happy with my time considering I had a baby just 4 months ago and wasn't able to train very well for it. Everyone else did a fantastic job and we all had a lot of fun spending the weekend together.

You are amazing Sarah- way to go! I am still trying to get ready to run my first 1/2. Do you have any tips on training? What to do the night before/etc? I would love some advice from a seasoned runner, you are so great!
how FUN!!! and you are amazing, i am so impressed. especially after a new baby and a long hike. everyone looks fabulous!
I'm so impressed. I'm going to run a half in October. I'll look to you for inspiration. I'm coming to Utah after Chris' wedding. I'd love to see you.
Despite the fact that I look like a whale... sheesh! It was sure fun, and I miss everyone already. I am really thinking about the provo one. Maybe we can beat our times!
I love Moab. Ty and I went when we were newlyweds about 4 years ago on a camping trip and had a blast. There's a local water fall and natural fresh water pool that we hiked to... It's supposed to be a 20 min hike but ours was 3 hours long since we took the wrong route at this fork we came to. I saw 3 rattle snakes that trip... it was quite an adventure!!
you look so great considering your baby is 4 months. Way to go!
you are awesome for being able to do that 4 months after having a baby. You guys rock! I've never been to Moab but I heard it's fun. Cute pictures!
