Let's go see animals!

Yesterday was our first family trip to the zoo. Jonah had a great time looking at all of the animals and yelling things at them like "come back, giraffe!" or "good luck, camels!". Jon's favorite part was dodging the poop-throwing monkeys, while I enjoyed watching the giraffes. What a weird animal!

At one point, a cougar was watching Jonah's every move and even crouched down like he was about to pounce. Jon's and my animal instincts kicked in and we immediately went into over-protection mode. It was a bizarre thing. Obviously the cougar had no way of escaping his area but it was a creepy moment.

We stopped at Cafe Rio for our favorite meals on the way home and ended up having a superb day!

Immediately following this picture, I had to run and grab him before he climbed the entire way through the fence into a duck pond.

The blossoms are still beautiful.

Jonah loves his baby bear and wanted to wear the Baby Bjorn.

Why is it that pooping animals always seem to steal the show at the zoo?

I unfortunately saw no monkeys throwing feces. I did however enjoy making derisive comments about the filthy creatures.

We have yet to experience the zoo here. I know I'll compare it to the San Diego Wild Animal Park and Zoo so I think I've avoided it for that reason... don't want to be dissappointed. I should just go for Preston b/c he won't know the difference.

Well I should have known you made your own sling... you crafty little witch ;o) You inspire me! I'm probably going to borrow my sister's moby wrap for now and see how I like it. I only have like 3 weeks left! I just scheduled my induction yesterday for May 15th. I'm anxious and exstatic and can't hardly wait!

so fun! I want to take Canyon to the zoo before I have to go back to work. Hopefully next week will be good weather and we can go!

Hey Sarah :)
You'd think that I'd be anxiously awaiting each day, trying to pass the time... And some days feel this way but I've actually been so busy trying to get things done before she arrives!! I'm being induced this next friday... Unless she tries coming early. I'm 3cm and 80% ripe;o) I would like it if she stays put until friday b/c I chose Lamoreaux to induce me. I really like him, he's the Dr for me. Who delivered you?

I ran into your lovely sister the other day where she works. When I saw her I recognized her right away as your sister. You guys sure got the beauty genes!!

Thanks for keepin up on me, even though I'm a cruddy blogger.
