Six years...and a few weeks

Amidst the holiday rush and festivities, I forgot to pay homage to our 6 year anniversary on December 18th.  I did my best to ignore the ever-present state of nausea and tried to enjoy a night out with my best friend.  He took me to Macaroni Grill where we usually eat way too much bread followed by the most wonderful Penne Rustica but I was only able to manage a few chunks of bread and opted for the grilled shrimp and vegetables instead.  Morning sickness is a crazy thing.

After dinner we headed to the theater to join the other Harry Potter nerds for the latest flick.  Good movie.  We seized the day and headed to The Chocolate for some delicious hot chocolate and a cazookie (giant, hot cookie with ice cream).  It was only 10:30 or so when we got home but we were both exhausted.  I can only imagine the hour our 25th anniversary celebrations will conclude.

I love my sweetheart more than I could ever imagine possible.

Shop 'til you drop

My dear friend, Bethany, got married over Labor Day weekend in the Newport Beach Temple.  I had been long awaiting this day (less than she had, I'm sure) and decided that I had to make the trip no matter what.  I'm still nursing Sophie so the only way I could make the trip was to have someone come with me to watch her during the wedding.  I sent a few emails and only a couple of days later, it was made into a girl's trip.  My mom, Linda, and Laura all came with me.

We stayed in Santa Ana and traveled all around LA and even down to Carlsbad for some serious shopping.  Let me tell you, a shopping trip with the Green girls is not for the faint-hearted.  Sophie was such a trooper and behaved extremely well for not having any formal naps.

I took my Baby Bjorn but didn't take a stroller.  As we walked around the Fashion District in LA in the 100 degree heat, I realized that was a big mistake.  Luckily, the vendors are experienced in what people will pay money for and we were able to find a little umbrella stroller which definitely paid for itself by the end of the trip.

This lotion feels slimy...

Sophie loves the bath...as long as she doesn't get cold. After her bath the other day, I was putting her lotion on and decided to rub the excess into my own hands. Without looking at my hands, I realized the lotion felt a little slimier than usual. When I looked down, I realized that Sophie had deposited a nice little surprise on my hands and I was rubbing it all over! Hahaha...sneaky girl!

Here is a picture of us before church last week. Look at my cute argyle kiddies! Thank you, Mimi, for Jonah's handsome sweater!

This was taken during tummy time today. Sophie didn't last long but Jonah sure had fun spreading the blankets out and lying down with Baby Sister!

And finally, today was our 4 year anniversary! It's fun to see how much our little family has grown in that time. Here are a few pictures of our wedding day!

Another Weekend in Colorado

A week ago we drove to Colorado for one of Jon's best friend's weddings. We took the opportunity to see the beautiful fall foliage and drove along the I-70 route. Veil was absolutely breathtaking. Fall is by far my most favorite season!

Here are a few pictures of the wedding. It was neat to see Jon with his buddies from high school. They haven't been in too close of contact with each other so it was a sweet reunion for them! The wedding was up Boulder Canyon outside of a nice restaurant. It was beautiful!

On another note, the belly is huge! I'm feeling pretty good but can tell that the time is drawing near. I'm almost 33 weeks along and my sister-in-law, Natalie, commented last night that I look like I'm 9 months plus one week! I have a feeling this little girl is not going to be so little! Jonah was 8lb 12oz so we'll see what happens with this one!
I'll post some pictures later today.
