I absolutely loathe spiders--hate them with a passion. Let's just say that in my plans to create my own world, they will not be included!
This lovely morning while I was working on the computer, my dear husband was lying on the floor near me when all the sudden I hear this loud shreak and see him on his toes (surprisingly agile for a bigger fellow) and flailing about as though he's being attacked by some unseen being. After asking him calmly, "WHAT!!?? WHAT IN THE HECK IS THE MATTER?!?!", he replies, "There is a huge spider over there and I just touched its web!!!" I proceed to grab my child and head towards the bathroom to escape. I don't want my child being ravaged by spiders. Jon says, "Don't you want to see it????" Heck no!! Of course I don't want to see it. But I look anyway because he says, "Oh my gosh!! It's a black widow!" Sure enough, this creepy lady was captured on camera just moments before being drenched with poisonous bug spray.
Feast your eyes on this!

It was humungous! I am not exaggerating in the slightest. I immediatly saw to it that our manager request that our apartment be sprayed--or whatever the heck it is that they do in these situations. Jon and I, of course, had the creepy crawlies so bad that we had to vacate the apartment for an hour or so. When we got back, I commenced in vacuuming and cleaning every crevice of our apartment. I fully intend to spray it down too!
On a lighter note, the family got together for something like the 5th or 6th consecutive summer in Flaming Gorge for a family reunion of sorts. The boys call it a fishing trip.
We all had a wonderful time (despite having to constantly be on guard for straying children and wild dogs--which also happened to be our own). We had 3 black labs and 1 chocolate lab there with us which I highly doubt will be happening next year, no matter where we get together.
Here are some pictures of the adventure.

Jonah was such a good boy. He just kept himself busy and played with whatever he could find. I'm so spoiled!

Gracie got this cute purse from Mimi as a present and she didn't put it down the entire trip.

This was a rare moment when Jonah and Lincoln were getting along...or at least a lull in the action. Lincoln is a busy boy and Jonah just wasn't sure how to handle it!

Here are my two boys after waking up to a frosty morning. Jon forgot his jacket at home so he's sporting my Northface fleece...just a bit snug. I told him I rather like the Northface with 3/4 sleeves.

Here's my boy. What a cutie!

Jonah loves Mimi and Grandpa. Mimi had a special necklace on that Jonah just loved to pull on and play with. Mimi was a good sport when Jonah tugged quite severely on her diamonds!

Here's my honey catching up on his "Zzzs". We had pretty rough nights with Jonah in the tent...he sleeps like a log at home but is a little too picky about wierd noises. Thank goodness for our new tent that had air vents to which we attached special Coleman Cool Zephyr fans to keep the air cool and keep that white noise going.

Here is Daddy. He is the best dad in the world! I have no more words.

Josh and Lindsey cooked up a fabulous breakfast for us, Daddy helped. Them hashbrowns were delicious--and the bacon...ohhhhh the bacon!

Jon caught this little fish off the shore and Jonah was very intrigued. He probably would have squeezed it to death if allowed!

We never catch these types of photos. I guess I just never think to. I thought I'd capture one for posterity...is that mean?

This was Jonah's second time in Grandpa's boat. He wasn't sure what to make of the life-jacket. It's rather funny--they're supposed to save your life but we had to keep yanking it down so he wouldn't get suffocated by it. He was a bit uncomfortable.

It was a little windy on the boat. Jonah was a good sport, though, and loved to watch the water.

This was the icing on the cake for Jonah. He was in heaven once he got his hands on that steering wheel. He was pretty upset when it was time to get off the boat.

This is the day after we got home. Jonah wakes up with some pretty awesome hair sometimes. I love his curls. Lucky boy!
That's it for now. Perhaps I'll post another in a few days to show you the developing baby bump. It sure pops out faster with the second one!
